Espedair Music

Composer & Songwiter, Music for Sync/Licensing & Brands - Vocal Demo Recording - Song Demo Production

Hi, I'm Pete Carroll, a self taught Scottish musician of 37 years. I am a Guitarist, a Vocalist, a self produced Songwriter, Composer and Producer. I have been writing my own music since my days in Indie/Rock bands back in 1996 onwards, until eventually setting up my home recording set-up and using a DAW since 2005, when I started composing Instrumentals, although had previously done so using analogue gear at college in the early 90s (Sound & Video Production year long course, then a year long Music Tech course). I write/record my own songs and have previously signed Music Publishing in the USA and also Sync.  Additionally, I have produced demos for songwriters too.

Having personally studied modern music from the 1930s up until modern day, in various genres, as well as having a strong appreciation for Classical, Jazz and Soundtrack, I have a wealth of musical knowledge and skills to compose for a wide array of styles and of course, emotions and situations.  I have also been involved in Brand work too and Indie Film.

Please feel free to contact with your Brief, or just to make an enquiry, I may be able to help you with your Project/Production etc.

I'm based in Central Scotland.

The "Espedair" name comes from a rather superb novel "Espedair Street" by Scottish author, Ian Banks  (see links below)

Synopsis:

"Daniel Weir used to be a famous – not to say infamous – rock star. Maybe still is. At thirty-one he has been both a brilliant failure and a dull success. He’s made a lot of mistakes that have paid off and a lot of smart moves he’ll regret forever (however long that turns out to be). Daniel Weir has gone from rags to riches and back, and managed to hold onto them both, though not much else. His friends all seem to be dead, fed up with him or just disgusted – and who can blame them?

And now Daniel Weir is all alone. As he contemplates his life, Daniel realises he only has two problems: the past and the future. He knows how bad the past has been. But the future – well, the future is something else."

If you're a musician, this book is a must ! - Pete
